had a surprisingly good time with laser orbits tonight. was struggling against the PCA warrant officer. slapped on some laser orbits to continue suppressive fire while i was doing rushdown laser lance, and S-ranked the mission with very little difficulty. may try to swap this onto my shoulder instead of vertical plasmas and see how it goes. you can also "fire" them while deployed to put them away and prevent overheat. neato.

another mission that took me several tries. i could consistently get A-rank, and made a guess that I was spending too much money on ammo cost. i correctly guessed that my big laser rifle VE-66LRB was overkill and downgraded to VE-66LRA, for a bit over half the cost per shot.

plasma rifle in other hand, 2x songbirds to deal damage to the cleaner's weak spot.

when engaging the big group of enemies at the end, you want to shoot a laser shot at the hanging bombs above them, not a plasma shot, which will prematurely detonate them before they hit the crowd.

also consider not even bothering killing the little MTs, which are only worth 800 per kill. i did seek out most other enemies either on the direct path or in adjacent areas
