I listened to a lot of country music growing up in [redacted for PII] and periodically it jumps back into my head.

my favorite thing to do is never ever look up any of these artists so I don't have to reckon with their rancid politics (except the Dixie Chicks who mostly had rancid politics done to them and I'm told are now just The Chicks because they didn't want the connotations of Dixie, which, hell yeah)

forgot to post my "joke" that country songs can only be written about 1) drinking with the boys 2) The Troops (and/or The Cops) 3) "my boyfriend cheated on me and I burned down his house"
