Real 'questioning what I'm doing as a living person' hours

Company apparently needed to reduce operating cost vis a vis, uh, me. And others.

I'll be fine, for now - I have a good amount of savings so I'm not in a rush to get re-employed, but if anyone happens to know of any software positions in the west Boston region, would appreciate any info you got.

I'm fortunate that I don't need to immediately find a new job. It's been just under 2 weeks, and aside from some insurance and resume stuff, I've largely been just hanging out and working on personal stuff.

At the same time - one, obviously that can't last forever. And two, it's pretty easy to get bored alone and find days going by without much of note happening.

A friend suggested I move way out west to room with her, and I'm considering the option - nothing really tying me down to this area, right? At the same time, regardless of where I end up, I do need a job at some point and I'm kinda dreading it. I haven't worked a single job so far that I didn't end up kinda hating, largely just out of monotony. I feel like there has to be something out there I could have some real enthusiasm for and actually enjoy doing, but as it stands I'm mainly qualified for web dev, and the tech sector as a whole seems. Ehhhhhh.

At least for now though, I'll live.
