It may feel like we're living in the end times, but at least it's a "post" apocalypse! Posts have been around since at least the 1800s, when they were known as "telegrams" or "bon mots." Now with today's modern technology, posts can reach your household at the speed of information.
First, the choster brainstorms a large number of ideas. Post ideas which fail the quality check go back into the pool of "drafts" to be recycled or disposed.
The post is then studied and edited to make sure it's in a good state to go out to readers. If the choster is unsure about a post, they may run it by another choster for a second opinion. Then it's on to the packaging stage!
