One of the greater wastes of my money was when I visited Checkpoint Charlie in Berlin. Ugly, old, horribly organised place. Never have I paid more to see military leftovers and the world's ugliest art pieces in the world before. There was a group of French tourists and I felt horrible for them, too, because imagine travelling down to Berlin and your tour leader decides that's what you should go look at. I went with my da cause I'm crazy and lost to morbid curiousity but those poor tourists are innocent, probably.

Also it was hot and confusing, like a maze. You got out through the North Korean torture methods room, which led to the gift shop, selling from pebbles to boulders of the late Berlin wall. Who the fuck knows if it's even the same wall anyway, yk? I'm not paying 30 euros to get a piece of concrete of dubious origin.
