Redesigning a character from over 10 years ago, an orchestra player on double bass. But I have so much trouble properly sizing the instrument, it ends up looking like a cello.

I have no clue if there's anything different between double bass and cello than the size and tone. Like, do you play them differently? Are they tuned differently? If you learn one can you easily play the other?

This might be too much work for just one OC. 😩
