honestly?? after 3 episodes i think Ncuti Gatwa is immediately my new favorite Doctor, unseating Christopher Eccleston who's held that title literally since I started watching the show in the late 00s. Maybe it also reflects how i have changed and grown up that an emotionally intelligent and oppenly affectionate whimsical Doctor is just obviously more appealing to watch than an emotionally witholding Doctor like 9 or the manic childishness of 11. But 15 is everything i never knew i wanted the Doctor to be and I have been enthralled every minute he's on screen. Its the queerness, yes, but also the positive, non-toxic masculinity, the care and mentorship for Ruby that is never hidden behind distance nor romantic tension.
