so i've realized that my primary issue when using monogame is a completely psychological one: something about game engine design turns me into a Garage Workshop Dad who will, if left unsupervised, will spend all day puttering around and making tiny improvements to my engine that in no way affect the game that i'm actually making. if i can get around this apparent deep-seated instinct, i can be very productive!
Because everything's dynamically rendered splines, it's a VERY different workflow from every other art program I've used (and there's still a bunch of friction that needs working on), but look!! I drew a house!!! It wasn't even that difficult!!!
