watched this new trailer that came out today (well ok it's basically yesterday by now) and i still can't get over how ridiculous it is. for the uninitiated i'm not going to go over all of tekken lore right now, but there's a very specific event i want to bring up in tekken 7: everyone KNOWS that kazuya has the devil gene. it was BROADCASTED ON LIVE TELEVISION to the ENTIRE WORLD.

so like. imagine the head of a mega corporation (which i think g corp qualifies as one), right? and like, as far as the world knows, he is THE LITERAL DEVIL. like this is just COMMON KNOWLEDGE in the tekken universe at this point. except somehow he just kind of ended up becoming the good guy to the public because jin kazama decided to start a world war for some reason. THEN. THE LITERAL DEVIL. JUST ANNOUNCES A FIGHTING TOURNAMENT. WHERE EVERYONE WHO LOSES GETS OBLITERATED ALONG WITH THEIR ENTIRE COUNTRY?????

and everyone goes WOOOOOOO LET'S GOOOOOOO LET'S JOIN THE TOURNAMENT i hate how this is the most realistic part of tekken's storyline
