gave wellstring another go to get it up to level 1 freshness for the splatfest and honestly? it's a lot more competent than i thought at first. still don't think i care for it quite as much as tri stringer but it maintains the versatility i like about the class and goes about it in different ways. i don't think it'll become my main or anything but i do like it enough to possibly play it on certain map mode combos

unfortunately it does have two major downsides, the ink consumption is abysmal and neither kit is great for it. i think my ideal kit for it might be like, burst bomb inkstorm? absolutely needs a low cost sub with how fast it runs out of ink (although it should probably get a slight buff to that anyway) and burst can combo with its damage output pretty well. inkstorm also gets its movement capabilities in a better place i think. i guess best hope is to stick to the delusion that we're getting third kits here
