My mom collects uranium glass, so I've been keeping an eye out for it whenever I go to junk/antique/thrift stores. The chalice in this image set was pretty blatantly made of uranium glass, but the bear was completely unassuming. Glad I listened to my hunch and took a closer look with my light! It's technically manganese, which has a weaker glow to it than uranium, but still looks rad.

Upstate NY, 5/12/23
Went back to my hometown last weekend and went for a little walk alongside the river with my camera. I stumbled on this strange little shrine of the Virgin Mary, Joseph, and various tchotchkes somebody placed out. It kinda has a fairy ring feel to it, like something from ancient times that shouldn't be disturbed by us mere mortals. Of course judging on the stuff here ancient would translate to "The 90s, At Best."
