i'm tempted to make a shader for generic weapon attacks so i can reuse the same sprite for all of them and put in a colour/gradient to change it for different attack types

since it's the darker end i want to change i'd have to cook up something specific for it, there's no way i can use the shader i've already been using, sadly

let the record show: it took like two seconds, i'm just silly

and also: this IS so much better. i wish i had thought of it earlier! but i'm happy i thought of it at all
