The adventurers are transported to boats on an infinite sea. Rowing beside them is a old humanoid chimera with the head of a goat, the paws of an ocelot, the tail of a scorpion, and a long white dress. He asks politely to hear a poem. Whether you oblige or not, he will tell you how to leave-- simply (1) dive into the water, and you will come out through a puddle in another room. The puddle is a portal back, too.
If the adventurers row around looking for things in the ocean, have them roll a d20. On a 1-18, an hour passes uneventfully. On a 19, a poem about the sea echoes from the clouds. On a 20, a band of d20 armed pirates, brimming with loot but looking for more, appear over the horizon.
