alright, gumshoes, here's the skinny: I write about a detective named Bunny La Rosa, a transgender butch lesbian who lives in 1950's Seattle. her secretary, Charlie, used to be a detective on SPD but quit after an injury working a case with Bunny involving the La Rosa clan and the death of Bunny's abusive father. Their first story together is set during Summer of 1953 and is called Gold Heart, Emerald City, and that's in edits now. It features multiple time frames, a protagonist with ptsd flashbacks and symbolic dreams, and violence a plenty.
I'm working on a sequel called Dark Clouds, Emerald City set in autumn, and you can guess what that means. That's right, I have a plan for a book collecting four seasonal stories about my girlies. Working titles for the remaining two stories are White Knight, Emerald City and Blue Heaven, Emerald City set in winter and spring respectively. Expect different storytelling mechanisms, different weather, and different districts of Seattle. The lady drives an eye catching celeste Bianchi 350 motorcycle and she knows how to get around.
I'm very much looking forward to sharing this with you when it's complete, my test readers have loved my girl and I hope you all will too.
