I went for the usual late afternoon - evening walk, said hello to the geese and the far away deer, and listened to the birds. there were new visitors: a pair of mallard ducks who are very common in general but I haven't seen in that spot before.
the first sky picture is of the sunset afterglow, towards the west. the second is of the opposite side of the sky, that pink glow is called the Belt of Venus. look very closely in that picture to find the far away deer on the horizon.
the other pics are from my garden: goat willow catkins in bloom, and a small empty wasp's nest I found on the ground, probably from last year.
