fun fact about the twilight gest setting: gwenffrewi college is if you transplanted the feminist milieu of the early oxford women's colleges to the 10th century so the Hot Debate is should women cover their hair or not. eleyn has attempted to split the difference, pleasing no one. orphne doesn't cover her hair although she does wear it tied up (totally loose hair still marks you as a Young woman) and mererid is ignorant of the whole debate since she's from a matriarchal werewolf commune.

Artfight prep continues with a reference sheet for Mererid!
working on a ref sheet for mererid, feat. body hair women wsunday, return of the belt knife, and "drawing this outfit from a different angle made me finally figure out how all that armor attaches"
also it's genuinely really hard to figure out reasonably plausible pseudo-historical underwear
someday i will have my character designs down enough to draw something other than "figure standing in void." the loops on mererid's left vambrace are to help her shield stay strapped to her arm, since she can't hold it.
