i've been making more progress on the twilight gest outline so here's a mererid to celebrate

me going back to work on the twilight gest outline and realizing i can work the threefold death motif in really easily

colored version to follow but i'm drawing a proper eleyn ref

it's been really satisfying to nail down how these characters "really" look after seeing them in my head for so long

eleyn occupies a rather curious social status. the only survivor of a flood that destroyed the small kingdom of maes gwyddneu, she was assumed to be the daughter of the noble well-maiden of that city and adopted by the well-maiden's sister and her noble husband. lacking confirmed kinship, however, her status is a noblewoman herself is somewhat in question. this was rather convenient for eleyn, who convinced her aunt and uncle that sending her to university would be a fashionable alternative to the rather difficult task of securing her a suitable engagement.
