even in progressive trans spaces online people seem to have difficulty accepting that someone can be a man and a woman at the same time. and that someone who is both a man and a woman could still face misogyny.

people like to talk about how female and male aren't inherently opposites that can never coexist, but then they don't actually seem to integrate that into their beliefs. acceptance for multigender people but only in theory.

i want to learn more about free speech bc i really dislike censoring (and obviously minorities get affected by it the worst) but also i don't want to see the hate speech that inevitably comes with freedom of expression, and i'm not really sure how to deal with that.

a number of free speech advocates i've seen recently online have just been using it as an excuse to be openly bigoted and hateful. and just plain mean tbh. even a lot of leftists are way too comfortable with being mean to people if they're being mean to the Bad People Who Deserve It instead of the Good Ones.

instagram's been showing me celtic-knot inspired art recently, and there's some very intricate designs but unfortunately most of them spell éire without the accent which means "burden" which is really funny to me. all this carefully done complex art, just to frame a massive word that says "burden". i think it's safe to say these were not made by irish-speakers lmao.

i don't know if these artists are english monolinguals, but english monolinguals don't seem to be able to cope with languages with accents. they seem to think that the accents don't do anything, and can just be left out if it's more convenient.
