you know it's crazy, now that Sonic has regained some of the public's good graces and tidied up its reputation and self-image in the advent of the moderate success of the films and Frontiers (not to mention that the third movie+SonicXShadow Gens are all but guaranteed to be a two-hit knockout), it's almost as if all of the millennial Sonic haters of the mid 2000s/early 2010s are scrambling to convince younger generations and potential new fans that no no, Sonic is still bad, trust me don't even bother bro. wonder how that's gonna work out for them
even some of the more mid releases of this era (Sonic Prime, Knuckles TV show) don't even come close to receiving the amount of ridicule anything from the dark era of Sonic did. just makes them look even more desperate to maintain the status quo
