oh ye, update on this, my whole team's complete and i'm five gym badges in!! this game certainly doesn't pull any punches, but on easy mode+minimal grinding, it's nothing i haven't been able to handle so far :3
(also this game has its own original regional variants, this centiskorch is ground/bug type and i love him... glaring weaknesses and all >w<)
