Was thinking about how late stage BioWare etc. start you out with a normal white boy (mopey) and a normal white girl (spunky) and only then lets you get get cool guys (robots, stone androids).

PlaneScape was fun: first companion is a floating a skull, and then you may or may not get a psy-sword devil or a crazy guy that's permanently on fire. Fallout 2 starts with Sulik, who's not white AND in comunion with ancestor spirits.

Would be fun start with Urdnot Wrex and zombie samurai¹, and go weirder from there. We need more body-horror friends!!!

1. it's easy for Shadowrun when nearly everyone is an orc wizard... Though the first HK companion is an orc cop and I don't remember any of companions from the other two games
