When remasters upgrade pixel art this is what I want.
A. The original option remains which is great for sickos like myself.
B. The new looks is actually good! They redid the sprites from the ground up for the modern day instead of just doing that ugly ass smoothing thing.

Played many, many (and many) demos during Steam Demo Fest and came away with plenty of games that look interesting and worth keeping an eye on. Hoping they can deliver on the promise that they show.
On Your Tail
Relaxing Detective game that takes place in a coastal Italian village where you solve various cases of theft, interact with the locals and play fun games of marbles. Its quite cutesy and charming to be honest and it was pretty fun exploring the area. The detective elements were pretty enjoyable if not quite basic. But tons of potential in this- hopefully Im better at Marbles next time.
The Alters
It does feel like the spiritual successor to This War of Mine (its made by the same studio), and in some aspects that shows such as how you explore your base. Only this one takes a very sci-fi/futuristic route. Its got the base building survival elements of that game, with more adventure (since you get more control off base). Quite an out there Sci-Fi game given you can create versions of yourself (Alters) to do tasks with you- plus interesting choices scenarios. Ambitious game and am very excited for it.
Vampire Therapist
So you are a Vampire that decides to help people via becoming a therapist to other Vampires including learning various cognitive behaviour concepts. Its quite a smart and thoughtful game when you engage in the conversations and the cast are fantastic. Its funny too when it wants to be during your conversations. Oh and also pretty horny. Didn't have much expectations for this, but I liked the demo way more than I thought I would.
Devil's Hideout
Its reminds me of an early Wadjet Eye game for me in terms of pixelated style and its ghosts/occult related topics, as well as been a point and click game. Though its more horror based than there usual fare. Its got promise given the bits of storyline the demo provides so will certainly keep an eye on it.
Tiny Glade
I love Castles and this game lets me create them via its grid-less building chemistry. With its lack of combat/management it relies on its chill and relaxing style instead and it made for a fun enjoyable time. Its art style is fantastic too- you can design some very pretty Castles thanks to this. Overall its building elements are fantastic. Got high hopes for it.
Ophelia's Chapter
Psychological horror adventure game with inspiration taken from horror work such as Stephen King where you play as a Witch looking for her missing friend. The game says at some point you can play as a Cat (so I'm sold). Love the art style and the spooky world the game has you explore, good inventory system and the story sounds intriguing. The game has some interesting ideas- could be another great point and click game here.
Closer the Distance
This is an ambitious game but I'm really hyped for it. Slice of Life Sim involving a fatal car accident where you play as the victim and end up watching over your family and friends handling the grieving of your death. Covering themes such as community, grief and friendship you're able to at various times tell various characters what to do, where to go, who to talk to giving you that choices matter element to the game. Gives you a lot of options over what to do and it seems like several secrets might get revealed over time so its quite the in depth game potentially.
The Vigilante Diaries
Visual Novel where you play as a vigilante- taking the law into your own hands going after people ranging from corrupts gangsters to law enforcement. I say its a visual novel, description wise seems to suggest hideout antics, so we'll see, its demo predominantly focuses on the Visual Novel aspect. Interesting premise and as a visual novel it does give you quite the range over what you can do with your character, such as what red lines you cross and your ideology. Was interesting going through their backstory.
Minds Beneath Us
A futuristic sci-fi point and click adventure- sounds good to me- I loved Wadjet's Eye Technobabylon and Gemini Rue after all. Plot revolves around mind controlling a guy and living with his subconscious as you go through his day to day life including been annoyed by your neighbours and hanging out with your girlfriend, while potentially been in some kind of trouble with the law. Quite out there with some of its ideas, but I can't deny been intrigued by this.
Mirthwood
Hardcore Medieval RPG Life sim with a cosy art style and tons to do. Your character flees war and aims to start afresh in a new area. The game has all the combat and adventure elements you'd expect, but it also allows if you wish to look after your house, crow crops and have a family, so its got quite the range and that makes it enticing. Also has a sims style interaction system with the various NPC's in the game which is fun.
Heat Death: Survival Train
Yes I'm another Autistic that likes trains haha. But getting to base build your own battle train to travel through the frozen world gathering supplies, resources and building weapons to fend off the various drones that attack makes for a cool premise. Its quite bare bones in terms of the locations currently, but its got the basis of a promising game here.
Mexico 1921: A Deep Slumber
Narrative adventure game set in Post-Revolutionary Mexico where you play a young photojournalist seeing the country swept up in change and transformation. Its historical setting makes for an interesting premise especially given how events would unfold over the coming years. Getting to see various famous historical sites from Mexico's past is cool. The game's art style is quite unique too- liked it a lot.
Plague: London 1665
Pixilated RPG where you play a Plague Doctor collecting bodies and graveyard keeping all the while trying to avoid getting the plague yourself and looking after your family and trying to stop them getting sick. Set during 'The Great Plague' that hit London this creepy historical setting and concept are good ones- and the morality system while a little basic is an interesting idea especially given the game gives you opportunities to interact with other characters and do jobs for them. Curious about this.
Excellent game. Really strong take on Sekiro-style combat in a 2D plane. Wild to think this is the studio's first action game
