I've been having a lot of fun with Unicorn Overlord. Despite how enormous my video game and book backlog is, I'm giving it all the time it wants because it's just that much fun to play. It really scratches that Fire Emblem itch.
I've long lamented what the "direct stream" format has done to video game marketing. Hitting a button on YouTube to upload a pre-recorded video will never have the same impact as doing a live demo in front of a live audience.
But of all the companies doing these streams, Nintendo seems to be the only one getting them right. Why? They have actual fucking gameplay footage. Captured from hardware running the actual game. With the full HUD and UI the player will see once they get their hands on it.
How does everyone else fuck this up!?! Stares at Microsoft
