For a long time I've wanted to just have a really simple aquarium game where I didn't have to worry about them virtually dying over night but didn't want in-app purchases either. I think I've always wanted one because I never got to get one of those fish lamps where it's just rotating around the middle piece to make it look like they were swimming.

This game has fulfilled that desire. It's very simple and works in real time you can get money every day and each fish generates a certain amount. You can also sell fish to get more money to buy new fish and repeat. There's many different types and you can lock in your favorites. I literally just got this game today and I already have 6 hours in it because to level up your fish you just feed them or wait for them to grow on their own. To feed you just right click. If repeatedly clicking hurts your hand you can go into the settings and select the "fewer clicks" option. Now when you right click it begins auto clicking food and you can move your mouse around the screen and it doesn't activate other buttons. You can turn off the auto click by right clicking again. I've also found leaving the mouse towards the bottom of the screen allows you to fully AFK click.

This game was also created by a solo dev and it's quite lovely all around. As of this post they are also working on a bird sanctuary game. I've already wishlisted it and I honestly hope they continue making games like this. :)

He Fucked the Girl Out of Me Review

A short, semi-autobiographical game about its author's experiences with being poor and transgender and doing sex work and the lasting trauma that came from that. Reminded me a bit of Nathalie Lawhead's work, albeit without any of the black humor to blunt the nausea and discomfort from what's being conveyed.

An effortlessly stylish puzzle/adventure game from the developers of Device 6, Year Walk, and Sayonara Wild Hearts. Loved the largely monochromatic aesthetic, the Resident Evil-style fixed camera angles, and the metafictional cross-media fuckery (they don't have Remedy money so there isn't an entire live-action short film you can actually watch or anything like that, but the narrative is very concerned with films, sculptures, music, paintings, art installations, intricate little puzzle boxes, and of course video games).

As for the puzzles, this is definitely one for the Tunic/FEZ/Void Stranger sickos out there who love nothing more than scribbling feverishly into a notebook (or in my case, a Notepad document and MS Paint canvas on my second monitor). I had a ton of fun playing this alongside my brother and racking our collective brains trying to figure out some abstractly presented math problem or which of the many, many documents in our possession held the pivotal clue for solving a puzzle.
