Homebrewing is so so cool i just look at my wii u home menu right now and i get shivers of excitement
#wii u homebrew
I love homebrewing my wii u but there are some jank about it that makes it dumb sometimes
Like how i can't VC inject an european version of paper mario 64 into anything to remove the black filter because it doesn't work, but i can for the american version. I've been trying to do that for a while it's like my personal arc now. (Also i know the european versions have more input lag or smth but i wanna play it in french and i don't think input lag matter that much for paper mario, probably)
There's also how i just learned that wii and gamecube games will not be stored on the same external usb drive as the wii u. Like the wii u formats the disk and you have to put the vwii and gc games on another drive or on an sd card or whatever. Hopefully you can have wii u vc injects for that, but seeing how the injects can be more limited, work less well, aren't compatible with every game abd also how the wii u has a 300 items limit, i'd want to use the vwii for some things better ngl. There's also that i wanna install some wii game mods like project + or CTGP or newer mario bros and idk if those work well with injections. Also you can't have partitions on your hard drive for wii u and vwii separated
I wish i knew that before buying a 480gb SSD thinking i'll have more than enough space for everything 😭
Finally got around to putting custom firmware on my Wii U, so now I can experience the Miiverse again. It's got a different name, but I'm happy to see it coming back to life.
Might not be news to anybody, BUT!...
(And here I go again about the modded Wii U)
There's a patch on the Wii U Homebrew Store that will add analog controls (this includes right stick camera functions) to the Eshop version of Mario64 DS.
That's just... so badass to me!
Tried it.
Love it.
Recommend it!
