I'll probably share my videos and share funny/interesting stuff. (idk this site's equivalent to retweets/reblogs)
#youtuber
I'm excited to start sharing my YouTube and Twitch content on this platform and I hope I get to meet more content creators here too.
I wanted to share my most recent episode of my playthrough of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky. It was a whole lot of fun to stream and it's also during one of the most important parts of the game, The Future!
I hope you get a chance to check it out and let me know what you think, enjoy!
so, a few years back, i was trying and failing miserably to be a youtuber
(arguably all that's changed since is the "a few years back" part, but i digress)
and there was this ~online course~ that promised to teach you how to ~become a youtuber~
the course cost a thousand dollars. i was younger, stupider, less aware of grifts, and had much more access to disposable income than i do now.
the course gave very basic advice like "your video should ~tell a story~", i barely followed it, and i eventually just gave up on it. only much, much later did i realize it was probably a grift
but i kept getting emails from them all these years, which i completely ignored, until i checked my email tonight, and saw one that said
Using AI to Write Your Scripts for Free + Easy Channel Ideas
the email was about chatgpt, and it had this to say:
Writing scripts for you
Let’s say you want to make a video about “Why Sex Robots Are Bad For The World.” Just tell the bot to “write me an essay about why sex robots are bad for the world” and here’s what it comes up with (I put this in Google docs for easier readability, but I made ZERO edits to this).
Want to make the video longer? Ask it to write an essay on why sex robots are GOOD for the world. Again, that entire script was done by the bot. Zero edits from me.
You can literally ask it to write explainers about literally ANYTHING. Tell it to write you a sketch, a song, a poem… whatever your heart desires.
at which point, i finally unsubscribed from their mailing list, because holy fuck, this is a fucking process for churning out spam videos, what a blatant disrespect for the art they claim to care so much about.
Another piece I did for the Scott The Woz Charity Bonanza this year! I've always loved trading cards (and Scott The Woz), so it was really cool to participate in this project. The packs are available here.
