hello friends of eggbug!

as a reminder / in case you didn't know, this weekend is a holiday weekend in the United States, where all three of us live. as a result, monday is a corporate holiday and we will be OUT OF OFFICE until TUESDAY, JULY 5.

we'll still be looking at reports intermittently (since sometimes those can't wait), but other support tickets will not be answered until after we're back! while we'd like to have support during this window, it's extremely important to us that we're working normal, healthy hours. crunch is bad for people and bad for the things they make. cohost is better because we're able to take holidays off like this.

we'll still be on the website seeing your posts, of course, but we'd rather not work during our weekend so please try to avoid causing too much trouble. we'll do another batch of activations on tuesday.

thanks for using cohost! we'll see y'all tuesday. :eggbug:

as someone who works in support/community (and is also working hard on taking my own advice), please really take the day off without guilt - building a friendly web is low stakes in that it's not, like, air traffic control or radiation management. so enjoy the day off!

thank you! my personal plan is to look at the moderation queue (extremely light so far b''h) once per day and otherwise simply Not See It. extremely excited for the weekend after this week

illegal?! Now I can't realize my dream of posting Paul Blart: Mall Cop fancams 😭

for real though, surprised there haven't been major crimes posted yet. So far the community's cool like that.

pretty certain essentially everybody here (hopefully) also very much would rather like to see you working normal, healthy hours at most, so yeah - wishing you all a nice extended weekend!

not to rain on your parade but do y'all have a strategy to deal with the potential for increased pressure from public cohost messages? as the site grows that will be more of a threat and i want y'all to feel like you can be yourselves here, too
