Don’t know if this is exactly what your asking but as far as I understand:
When you reblog a post, it will show up on your followers timeline at time of reblog, and additional reblogs do not overwrite previous ones.*
So if you reblog a month old post at 4:00pm and again 4:05pm it will show up twice. This is true if it’s regardless of who reposts it. If you follow 5 people and they each repost a post twice back to back, you will see the the same post 10 times
(I’m not sure whatcha mean by boosting, but hope this is helpful)
- I think some people run browser extensions to collapse additional reblogs but I don’t have an experience with that.
