i've learned there is a certain strain of tech brain that absolutely will not accept any limitation of any kind, even if it would literally prevent the apocalypse

the funny thing is that .NET literally has a "this one gets to violate encapsulation" flag you can set on assemblies

I've been pleasantly surprised at how few complaints I have seen about the design of my language- reasonable or unreasonable- but I suspect this is mostly a consequence of the fact that very few people use it. :)
