i'm designing it with accessibility in mind! so far i have a lot of systems in place to help out, such as dynamic difficulty scaling & manual difficulty settings (only the simplest configuration of enemies (or only the hardest, for the dangeresque out there), how many hits you can take, etc.) so ideally anyone new to shmups could hop in and enjoy the story if they wanted to
and then maybe use it as an opportunity to learn some cool tricks to take into other games?
that's my hope at least!
