You had command over the chemical structure of molecules bound to oxygen; a marvel, indeed, as it meant you could ensure that even the smallest of ships remained safe to breathe on, no matter the length of the voyage. That you could also bind oxygen to shapes that were less friendly to living beings usually went unremarked upon, as did the simple fact that a little clever use of the oxygen in the air air could flood a ship with clean water, ready for a sea-farer to dive into comfortably.
