You found that the cold between the stars seeped into your very bones, so deeply that you could call it forth to conjure icy blades from empty air, or to wring water from the air envelope when too many people existing in it for too long threatened to make it a sauna. You could even control the things wrought by that cold, making your ship have no need of cannons when you could simply fling razor-edge shots of ice by force of will alone - or to tether your vessel to an icy boulder and tow it against the interstellar wind, exhausting though it was.
