Give me money on Patreon and/or KoFi please.

I am doing my best. Please send me asks. I am always lonely. I want to talk to you. I want to talk to anyone. I'm very good at figuring things out. I don't have a degree. I was born in 1989. I have a lot of love in my heart. I'm trying to get back into it. If you have any need for some front end website stuff, please hit me up. If you want any pictures drawn, I do that too. I also have lots of ideas I'm willing to give away.

also:

A fun feature of using uncommon image types is that if somebody tries to copy an image off my website and post it to some other place, they'll be informed it's not an image even though their browser displayed it just fine.

Like I COULD just use WebP

Picture of a folder of images. WebPs and PNGs, showing the differences in filesize (the webp are smaller)

because it's the thing the whole internet wants us to all use, and the filesize would be smaller, and the encoding step would take less time OOOOOOOOOOR I could use AVIF

Picture of a folder of images, this time AVIFs and PNGs. The AVIFs are much smaller but not as small as the WebPs.

and then if and when somebody tries to repost it to twitter or even here on Cohost they'll be told that it isn't an image. You know? We got options here.

Edit: yo it has been 11 months and i forgot to edit and or delete shit like I promised. A lot of this exists now haha.

I'll delete and provide explanations for how to do things as these things are found/added.

  • A block feature
    • (I can already tell by reading staff post comments that I want to block some of these people.) There is a block feature! You click the Meatballs menu (three dots, horizontal) next to the person's name on the sidebar, on their profile, and you can black them.
  • The ability to see the "Raw" text that somebody submitted to make their post.
    • so that I don't have to ask people how they do certain things. For example, I don't know how people insert "Read More" links. I don't want to have to ask people how to do it and I can't find a guide anywhere.
