Howdy! My whole family has been down with the sickness and in turn, have missed several days of work. Thankfully it doesn't seem to be covid, but it is still bad enough that we have needed to stay home.
I am not at risk of homelessness or even going without food, I am just trying to keep us treading steady and not sink more into credit card debt. I haven't filled my taxes yet and I am going to try and do that once I am feeling a little better, but I am unsure if I would get my return in time for bills.
I have some money, but I need ~$200 more to cover my bills for March
- $100 towards a personal loan I had to take to fix all the broken stuff in my house last year
- $100 towards my cell phone bill + misc credit card payments
My dad's SSD has only been enough to cover his medical bills the past two months because he had to pay off some surgery bills from last year. I have been borrowing him my credit card so he can get gas since he drives me to work and grocery shopping. I've also been helping cover his portion of the groceries. I don't mind helping him, but it has started cutting into some of the safeguard money I had for covering situations like this.
