I was going to make a post about Honeycomb being a joint-cognitive systems company, so I went to look joint-cognitive systems up to make sure I was getting it right. The first page of results was all paywalled, either journals or books. I'm sure I could find it somewhere else but I think I'll just stop using the term. If folks who hear it from me can't google it, they aren't going to keep digging. Maybe it's time I read some cybernetics texts... the problem I have is that these things are usually immediately obvious to me, and I'm just here to pillage their language to teach people from more angles. I think if I say "BubbleUp is a cybernetic product", people will understand immediately, whatever the experts say.

On one hand I'd tell people to just use sci-hub, but you make a good point, there's also something inherently a bit alienating about terminology that seems to be entirely used by academics who publish in Elsevier 🙃
