yeah this blows... but I guess the silver lining is that anyone who's only now paying attention might be left with a fairly well-sourced rundown of all the best free doujin games of the last fifteen years
lord knows I could use it, too—there are undoubtedly hundreds of games that I've dismissed, forgotten or otherwise passed over due to language issues over the years that I could probably handle nowadays
