This post might look familiar! But the demo is now out for everyone now! I popped it out a little earlier this week just for people on cohost, which was really useful for some early feedback and bug catching. Now there is no password and I'm working up the courage to post it other places.

I also made some more changes to the build...
  • When picking badges, text will indicate if they are limited to a spell type
  • While drawing a path, any cells it cannot reach have a different background
  • The game saves when players enter a battle and auto-launches it on restart
  • If players have ever reloaded a battle, a โ€  is added to the completion text...

Hey, nice work, congratulations! When I heard about your game, I had a brief moment of panic that someone had stolen my thunder, since I'm also working on a puzzle-based roguelike where you cast spells by using a match-3-style board. Fortunately, we're going in very different directions from that core premise. My game won't be out for probably another couple of years anyway.

I enjoyed the demo, and I hope that Witching Stone does well! Good luck with the release! Maybe in a couple of years, we can set up a Steam bundle. :)

Thanks! Yeah, I do idle in the IG discord and I saw your game in there (I think? I was doing some detective work!). I was also a bit worried at first! But nah, they're quiet different.
