I wouldn't say I was ever a heavy board gamer, but the Pandemic put a screeching halt to any board gaming I did for a good while. At the tail end of 2022, I started getting back into the hobby. I usually play with my friend Alex, but the newest--and most rambunctious-- addition to his cat family had o-paw-nions.
For Alex's Xmas present, I got him an abstract strategy game called "boop." The idea is to get 3 kittens and then 3 cats in a row to win, but when they jump on the bed, they "boop" each other a space out! It's very cute but it's also a chess-y brain-burner!
I also decided to make some custom game pieces with polymer clay based on his own cat and kitten daughters, Sitri and Surya. Sitri is generally pretty respectful of "things on the table" (unless it's chicken), but here's Surya's take:

I like watching birds. Surya likes watching birds (murderously). I like the game Wingspan. Surya likes sleeping on Wingspan, like right in the middle of the whole setup:

We've started playing some "cat tv" youtube vids for Surya to keep her attention while we play. This is what she looks like watching birds on tv, while we're playing birds on the table:
