Oh my god, a review of Universal Wars!! That game's creator was one of the first people I followed on itch because they used to curate this collection of Japanese games on itch, which at the time were hard to find. (They still are, tbh)

Universal Wars was one of many, many OHRRPGCE games that were vaguely inspired by Earthbound, but then just went off the rails.
Oh dang, I gotta look through this some to re-discover OHRRPGCE games that I have vague memories of, like this one Evil Dead RPG, one with a centaur main character, and a scifi one where everyone starts with super high levels and stats...
