#607c8eI just finished bringing my bot @colorschemez (twitter) to cohost with some new features: Images are now SVG and the hex codes are included in the post using the details tag.
It's set up to post once per day (but occasionally will post more if I'm working on it, like today).
tech details
The old version was written in python several years ago, so I rewrote it today using JavaScript. It felt hacky but I decided to use d3 because it can interact with a virtual DOM and it applies everything inline.
The old python version is still running (via digitalocean vm) on Twitter! This new one uses GitHub actions and cohost.js to publish new posts.
Now that we have a date for Twitter API shutdown (Feb. 9) this will soon be the only place for @colorschemez
