yet here we are. someone on YT said they discovered Momus through an ICO concept vid and i was like, what

About the music At the time (late 1990s), it was an attempt to use popular music rather than exclusive music for the game, and even an existing song. It was a rare time. I chose the songs from a CD that happened to be on the desk of Fumihito Ueda, the director and game designer of ICO.

There are two songs that were turning points for me, and this video uses Momus' "Summer Holiday 1999'' (Summer Holiday 1999). The other song was "Scarborough Fair'' by Simon & Garfunkel, which was used in the first presentation video after development was transferred from the original PlayStation to the PlayStation 2. Both were memorable songs that perfectly matched the video we were developing and gave us a sense of what we were creating.

for its part Summer Holiday 1999, which i strongly associate with my early days of transition, was inspired by the very strange, alluringly atmospheric 1988 Japanese film Summer Vacation 1999, which until reading the prior linked post i did not know was inspired by seminal shoujo manga Heart of Thomas.

Some of this month's portraits. Some of them are animated, but you won't see them moving in this collage, so please don't spend too much time sitting there, staring, waiting for any of these beauties to start blinking or winking or nodding. It's not gonna happen! Not until I upload the gifs in another post!

Wouldn't you like to see your own portrait in that grid one month from now? It could happen, if you give me money. Which I need badly cuz we are once again short on rent because my life, like many others, is very stupid. If you want to hear the details just let me know, I'll tell you all about how stupid it is, but warning: this is history's most boring drama. Also the cable company contacted me and they were like "We are going to cut your internet, because you didn't pay the bill." Which is really unfortunate, I really like being online, just imagine how much worse the world would be if I wasn't online even though I don't post very often because I'm shy.

Anyway I am very tired and ashamed of doing these calls for assistance but not tired of doing portraits, they are always fun, so please consider dropping some cash on the arts. Thank you. I'd use that artists alley thing if I had $10 but I don't. Thank you. You can also contact me on Discord @BachelorSoft.
