tried to do a thing with a screen locker for my laptop, accidentally misspelled "super" in sxhkd's configs. reloaded, lo and behold - my keyboard input is gone. because of course sxhkd manages the entire keyboard input for bspwm, and failure to reload means it's gone, thus won't process anything. had to reboot via ssh.
can we talk about the acronym for a second? "sxhkd". worst acronym 2022 award (because something worse can come up this year), "Simple X Hot Key Daemon" more like "SuX Hot KeyboarD". or something like that i made up to not forget it. it doesn't even roll off the tongue like "bspwm" does. "bee ess pee wee ehm" vs "es eks ech key dee". awful, absolutely inexcusable.
