apple presents their products as Rationally Consistent, but sometimes when you get into the intricacies… oh man.
did you know that enabling a focus on your iPhone will enable the same focus on your mac without bluetooth, but disabling a focus on an apple watch over wifi (no bluetooth, same network though) does not affect the focus status on other devices? what? why?
so when bluetooth is unavailable, but wifi is, your watch is focus-isolated from your iphone/mac. so the phone/watch pair is driven by P2P connectivity, while the phone/computer pair is driven by… iCloud, i guess?
i wonder why. it does work instantly everywhere when bluetooth is on, but… i kinda hate bluetooth and how it has to be on 24/7 nowadays, not gonna lie. unless it works automagically, like on apple devices.
addendum
oh, but now i can make my devices clash over focus modes! i’m guessing the iPhone will win as the Master Device, but still. imagine turning on DND on your phone, and some other focus on the watch. which one is gonna take over, when they come in the bluetooth range?
sorry, it’s 3 am already, i really forgot what sleeping is. cue the “what is a computer” joke.
