sometimes i remember how slow HDDs can be. like, the G570 i was working on yesterday took a solid minute or two to boot pure barebones no-apps-installed windows 7. even my shitty desktop boots windows 10 with a lot of apps in autoboot in like 4 minutes, and it’s got an HDD too.
but there’s also my thinkpad, which booted linux in <15s, windows in <30s, macOS in <45s (because i have to boot that from a USB2.0 thumb drive).
like, damn.
