Due to an incident where I forgot to turn Hardcore Mode back on while making save states for another game to take screenshots, I finished a run of Master Blaster 2 with no deaths (and, by extension, without using a continue) on Softcore Mode without realizing it.
So I did what any rational person would do.
I turned on Hardcore Mode.
And I immediately did it again.
Those 30 Softcore points will always remind me of my double victory.
