Bit the bullet and installed Windows 11 yesterday.
Of the two things I expected to be a problem, OBS was surprisingly smooth, while Clip Studio Paint was an absolute nightmare.
Somewhere in the past I turbofucked the folders that are used for settings, and my backup didn't seem to work properly. CSP doesn't make this any easier since the process to move these files from one PC to another (or in my case, to an external drive back to the same PC) is weirdly complex, and at some point they changed the default location of where it stores things (this might have saved my ass since the files in that old location were still there, and I was able to use those to recover most of my stuff).
I had to spend hours trying to mash together old and new folders, loading things up, deleting it if it didn't work, and trying again to get my pens and other assets where they needed to be so that I didn't lose several years of customized tools. So hey, that's done now. I left myself detailed notes on exactly what I need to do next time so this hopefully doesn't happen again.
So just trust me that this screen is progress.
Added bonus, OBS is running silky smooth. I don't know if it was my Windows 10 install, if Windows 11 has some efficiencies that 10 didn't that I'm not aware of, or if something else going on, but CPU usage is way down. OBS used to report 3-5% while idling and have regular, sometimes consistent frame drops on scenes with a lot of sources, and now it maybe hits 0.1% idle and might have a frame drop every 10 minutes on the busiest scenes.
I need to put it back to work for real soon with an actual stream, but still getting other things sorted first.
