standing in an apple store and feeling like a fucking alien with my iDevices Pro I pulled out of the trash and could never afford brand new. everyone in here is obviously rich except the workers. i can't tell if the workers are rich
This is, of course, located in the mall that only has stores from I Think You Should Leave and Achewood
and gave myself whiplash from the double-take
Of course there was an Apple Store there. I worked at the Sony store. We never interacted with each other.
The workers are not anywhere close to rich. I'm not convinced anyone buys anything from these places. People just window shop while an Apple Genius replaces their 2-year old phone battery for $1000 or whatever it is the Apple Store does.
I saw Steve Jobs came in to the store once. He never talked to anyone. We never bothered him; he never bothered us.
When the location I worked at closed, not too long after I quit, and only around a year or so after the completion of renovations to the store that cost millions of dollars, it was converted into a Tesla showroom.
They didn't even replace the flooring.
