I have no opinion except that it should be anywhere near transit if you're looking to make it easier for folks from around the bay but there are a lot of chill spots that meet that definition.

Also I have a bazillion spare kn95s/n95s if needed

classic suggestions near transit that I’m sure you’re aware of but will repeat; Lake Merritt amphitheater is a nice, if lacking in shade, public spot not too far from 19th st and lake merritt bart stations.

yerba buena park for the gdc vibes

dolores park for the dog watching and proximity to the mission bart stations, which also makes the milbrae caltrain to bart transfer very manageable

I WILL clear my calendar for this.

I'm (very) North Bay but want to meet y'all. As others have said, somewhere with good public transit options. Happy to help carpool folks from my direction if they need a ride.

I'm in the east bay and if I can, would be game. My mom's having a surgery in October which may impact my availability but I'm not sure the chronological scope of that yet.

I don't drive but anywhere transit-accessible is fair game. Lake Merritt leapt immediately to mind. Lots of space, usually chill vibes. Not sure what the peeing situation is like these days though.

I was surprised at how pleasant the presidio tunnel tops area was when I went to the cemetery on Memorial Day. Spacious, breezy, and they have good bathrooms. However, it's not as convenient for folks who are BARTing into the city as some other destinations.

There are other nice areas by the water like Jack London Square, the Berkeley Marina, and the SF Ferry Building. But I'm an unreliable narrator for going places as I rarely do so voluntarily lol.

I'd absolutely be down as a Bay Area native.

Lots of good suggestions already! I used to work in the city near the ballpark, so I have a soft spot for Spark Social down in Mission Bay, since I'd go to the food trucks there for lunch pretty regularly during the week. Typically have plenty of uncovered and covered seating (I always liked sitting in the top corner of the double decker bus) and they're open on weekends, too.

Easy to get to as well for those near BART (or who are driving but can park at a BART station) since if you're coming from outside the city, you can take BART to Embarcadero, take MUNI to the ballpark, then it's maybe a 10-15 minute walk the rest of the way.
