Jimmy spent his paycheck on a new monitor. xD He had no choice. He went to turn on his monitor but it looked as if someone had smashed it. No one goes into the room where he has his computer set up. Most of us have laptops and computers of our own. No one bothers anything of his. When he went to turn it on to read some manga/manhwa/manhua he wanted to finish up, he had no monitor. Again, we don't know what happened to it.
Honestly, I would have heard if it had dropped but I also know Jimmy had its legs tapped to the desk so, in any case, it wouldn't have fallen easily. He talked to Becky about getting a new one. She told him he would need to pay her back for it and he promised. So, she ended up ordering him one and it came in this evening. I haven't seen it yet because I have not been out to see it. I think he is on it right now. He had a day off today so he is enjoying the few hours left before bedtime.
I learned a few days ago that a former teacher of mine, Major Morris, passed away. I had not been in touch with him since graduating high school. I had a great relationship with him but when my sister arrived at Burges, it soured because my sister would kowtow to his demands. By then, Burges had become a laughing stock of the JROTC program mostly due to the Alvarado sisters taking the Battalion Commander positions. The eldest when she was pregnant. The reasoning behind her receiving the position? It would look good on her resume for college. The younger sister - well, no one wanted her. She was not liked in high school. Major Morris believed that it was unfair that the entire Battalion did not like nor want Beatriz as their commanding officer. She may have received the Brigade Commander, but the hostility toward her was bad.
I stayed away as it was not my business. So, I lost touch with him but my sister saw him here and there and she was cordial to him. I think she held her hatred toward him because he once called Campus Security on her to remove her from the bleachers during a lunch hour. She had come to sit there with her friends. He reasoned that she was making the area hostile with her presence even though she was having lunch. She was told she could not go back there ever or she could face either suspension or detention.
I don't remember if my Mom went down there over it. I am pretty sure she did because my Mom did not like bullshit like that. I don't know if she talked with Major Morris again or discussed this with the principal. It has been a long time since this took place.
I am sorry to hear of his passing. I hope he was not sick or anything.
Anyway, I am heading off. I have a few things that need to be done. See you later this week.
