Its always hard to work out mentally that the 'richest person in the world' losing 200 billion isn't the same as lighting a pile of money on fire. My partner has lamented he could have done so much good with it, but I have to remind her he didn't 'have' that much wealth, he was 'worth' that much, and people were loaning him money to actually used based on that 'worth'. No one would loan him the actual money to cure world hunger, they want to loan him money to buy businesses. Tesla was overvalued, but people pretending it was worth so much is the entire reason for that evaluation.
Rich people money is fake, but they use it to get real money to buy even more things and hurt people. They don't deserve the money, or power, or respect they derive from claiming a 'value'.
